(Image from LATE 20TH CENTURY)
- Notes about the Image:
-
Parts of large area of inter-war semi-detached housing between Tynemouth and Whitley Bay. These fairly small modern houses of the early 1930s (price when built around £300) are part of a substantial body of similar evidence showing the mixed social experience of Tyneside in the depression years. (Norman McCord lives in one of these!) Note added by Norman McCord, November 2002.
