Landscape photo 'showing the smithy (note the hearth chimney stack against the second gable), which was added to an existing hemmel which had been built in 1780. The end wall of the smithy looks odd because it was once an interior wall - the smithy building was once joined to some cottages by a building which has subsequently been removed, leaving the former interior wall as an exterior wall. The bricks may well have been made at the estate brick and tile works.'
