The Lambeth Palace Library Project

Plans for KINGSLEY church, St. Werburgh (1820-1822), click here to enlargeThe SINE Project is working in partnership with the Church Plans On-line project at Lambeth Palace Library, London. The aim of the Church Plans Online Project is to make available on the World Wide Web 11,800 plans and architectural drawings from the archive of the Incorporated Church Building Society (ICBS).

Plans have been digitally photographed at Lambeth Palace Library and forwarded to the SINE Project which has produced the web searching mechanism, as well as the entire Church Plans On-line website.

The Lambeth Palace archive spans the period 1818-1982, and contains material from England and Wales. It is a nationally important record of the most significant period in church building since the middle ages and the single largest source of plans for new and existing churches in the country.
