Browse by place name

To search the SINE collection by place name, type the name of the place you are interested in and click ‘Search’ or press Enter.

This will give you a choice of place names in the North East containing the name you searched for, e.g. entering ‘amble’ will give you a list of place names including Amble – Northumberland; Brambles Farm – Middlesbrough; and Amble side – Cumbria. Once you have selected the place you are interested in, you can choose a search radius from the drop-down menu below. The search results will be all of the images containing structures within the selected distance from your chosen place.
